Welcome to the Alpine Retreat - our wonderful farmhouse and apartment located next to the pistes, overlooking Mont Blanc in the heart of the Chamonix
valley. The Alpine Retreat and its large
garden
are located in the traditional Savoyarde village of Les Houches. We are just a 2-minute walk from 2 cable cars, 5 restaurants, a boulangerie, several bars and shops. It is perfectly located for your winter or summer holiday as active or relaxing as you please.

 High quality, self-catering accommadation comprising:
- A spacious well-equipped farmhouse with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 large salons, a fully fitted kitchen (sleeps from 4 - 10), plus free view satellite TV, DVD and free unlimited wifi internet access.
- a completely refurbished apartment (located to the rear with its own independant entrance) with a separate double bedroom, large living area and individual bathroom (sleeps up to 4)
- a huge private garden with garden furniture and a BBQ.

You don't have to be a large group to enjoy the comfort and space of the main farmhouse. We often have groups
as small as 3 or 4 who rent the house and welcome the room that it provides. Larger groups can rent both
units - we can accomodate any number between 2 and 14.

The extensive grounds that surround the Alpine Retreat offer guests the chance to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this amazing valley without ever leaving the confines of the large private garden.
Summer guests can enjoy walking, mountain biking, climbing and even paragliding, and there is a vast range of other outdoor activities available locally.
For the skiers, we are located next to the slopes and we are perfectly placed just 200 metres from each of the 2 cable cars! Below is a view of the local pistes.
The resort of Les Houches is just one hour's easy drive from Geneva airport and we can arrange airport transfers and lift passes to make your holiday run more smoothly.Your 2 English hosts, Rob and Suzanne, are on hand to provide whatever help and advice you might need.

Whether you chose to ski in this renowned skiing area, visit the Aiguille du Midi by cable car at 3800 meters (13,800ft), ski down the Vallee Blanche, or climb aboard a mountain train or cable car to explore the glaciers, or walk the many trails through flower-strewn meadows, or gently relax in the fresh mountain air, the Alpine Retreat has it all.
